Patchwork Curtains in My Sewing Room

I got two more elements in my sewing room done~ patchwork curtains & skirting my work tables. Keep in mind that I took stuff out so you aren't distracted by everything else going on! :) I love how the curtains came out, exactly the look I wanted! I combined mostly Jennifer Paganelli prints with Amy Butler, Anna Maria Horner, Tanya Whelan, Sandi Henderson, Dena, Patty Young. I went to my scrap bags and just pieced according to the colors I wanted with an overall word in the back of my mind~ picnic. I'm not sure why I had that direction, but I tried a few different color combos and this one captured the colors and look I was going for. I find it easier to decorate a room with a word or theme in mind. I hot glued velcro to my tables and then sewed velcro to fabric and attached them. I love how its all shaping up, but I still have lots more to do!

Canopy Bed Panels

These are part of a custom order bedding set~ 3 of 4 panels that are 2 sided & will tie to a canopy/4 poster bed. The top & bottom are from Jennifer Paganelli's Flower Power fabric lines~ one of my all time favorites~in Elizabeth Rose ice & Loopy Vintage turquoise. The middle panel is Dandy Damask from Michael Miller. The bedskirt will be Elizabeth Rose ice. I have the quilt all pieced & layered and I will be quilting it today with light pink satiny thread to coordinate, will post pics when I'm done. I have always wanted fabric panels when I had a 4 poster bed, but never made them. I wish I still had that bed to try it out! :)

A Quick Visit

I made a quick visit to my brothers house with Holly and enjoyed my time there so much. I also got to visit my 92 yr old grandma, Busia as we call her in Polish, who asked if I could bring her chicken nuggets and fries from McDonalds. She is hilarious. There was a time she held the record for most Big Macs eaten. The story is told for future generations to admire! :) Right now she was content with chicken nuggets!!! While I was staying at my brother and my sweet sis in law's house I made curtains and a pillow for my niece's room to match the throw I had made her for her bday. I tell you I am in the right business because I was super excited to sew on my visit. My sis in law does sew, and shes really good at it, but its not a priority for her. I was glad to help her out! I used Amanda Fleur in aqua and Flower Mural in brown for the curtains. The pillow is also the Flower Mural. Sheri made the runner on the nightstand with the Flower Mural and a small strip of Marie in aqua in the middle. All fabrics by Jennifer Paganelli. I am sad that I only got a pic of Holly with 1 beautiful cousin as she has 2 more who were in the other room! I guess as usual I got overexcited to take the pic and forgot!
:(((((((

Thanks for visiting!
